Community Partners
It
takes a village to educate a child. Quincy Public Schools are fortunate to
have a large group of Community Partners who donate countless hours of time
mentoring students, valuable services and goods which provide extended
learning experiences for our students. They bring the strength of their
real-world experiences and knowledge to our students, giving them invaluable
insight into the greater community.
Partnerships also give business and community partners positive exposure in the community. Everyone benefits from this exciting initiative.
Partners Make It Possible!
The
Quincy School~Community Partnership works to bring our schools, businesses and
community organizations together to enhance the educational lives and
opportunities of Quincy Public School students.
Partners bring many strengths and unique opportunities to the lives of our students. From mentoring to job support to supplying the coffee and pastries at a fund-raiser, our Partners make it possible for our students to experience more.
With our Partners, there are science grants for high school teachers, elementary students have a professional dance company visit, middle school students have math tutors..

Our
partners come in all sizes and give in a wide variety of ways. Some
partners come to our schools to mentor students, help with an event or even
teach a class. Some partners bring students into their businesses,
giving them work experience, on-the-job mentoring, and a sense of career
opportunities that can make a real difference in the life of our students.

Learn how you can become a partner
The School~Community Partnership has four distinct programs that you and your business can join.
Site Support gives you the chance to focus your attention on a particular school (or initiative). Businesses can support their neighborhood school or a perhaps a technology program that spans several schools.
Career Connections gives your business the chance to connect students to your business. Students can work in your office or auto shop, job shadow your designers as they work to create publications or do clinical placements in allied health.
Student Support lets you and your employees mentor students directly. Some Partners make a long-term commitment to tutoring, others sponsor or lead field trips. All Partners get to experience the real joy of directly participating in student's lives.
President's Path is a way for you to make a financial contribution to our schools. The money you give goes directly to programs for our students. Teachers get mini-grants to provide additional classroom learning experiences. Arts groups can give performances. Computers get upgraded. Your contribution provides a way for our students to have a better learning experience.
