According to the National Standards, the students are learning the core movements and physical skills that are necessary life skills. At the Beechwood Knoll School, students are expected to reach the standards for the lesson by the end of the class. My goal is that the students take away with them those learned standards and at least one part that they can use in their daily lives, whether it is part of the warm-up, main lesson or the closure. For the students in health, I expect them to have a general knowledge of what is presented to them in class, so that knowledge can be acclimated to their daily lives of wellness.
