Academic Standards

Education Standards

Education in Massachusetts is changing. There is a new emphasis on skills such as critical thinking and writing. Testing is now a regular part of most student's academic career. To help students adequately prepare for these changes, the Massachusetts Department of Education has outlined academic standards for each grade and subject area. Quincy teachers and administrators, working closely with these standards, have modeled our school curriculum and course selections on these standards to prepare all of our students both academically and intellectually for their futures.

Review these pages. If you have questions, please contact your child's teacher, your child's principal, or Director of Curriculum, Colleen Roberts
