About Us
Atlantic Middle School, with its diverse population
and community, truly represents a microcosm of the world. At Atlantic,
not only do our students learn the basic skills, they also develop an understanding
and appreciation for our social, ethnic, cultural differences, and human
rights. Our staff emphasizes critical thinking, cooperative learning, and
technology. In addition, we offer a personalized education for the 500
emerging adolescents in our school. Parents, teachers, and community representatives
work together to help define the goals of the school. This collaboration
enriches our educational programs, thus, resulting in our motivated students
who are excited about school and knowledge.

Academics
Our middle school teachers have developed a syllabus for each of their courses. In addition to the major topics, the syllabus contains a list of important text and learning materials, types of assessments that will be used, and a homework and grading policy.
