Our High Schools

Quincy Public Schools has two high schools: North Quincy High School and Quincy High School which includes our very well-regarded Center for Technical Education. Both Quincy High School and North Quincy High School offer a wide-ranging curriculum in everything from the arts, math, science, foreign languages, computers, music and more. Students learn the basics and then continue as far as their abilities take them through honors and Advanced Placement courses. For students who want to focus on a career right out of high school, our Center for Technical Education helps assure that these students get started in a good, high-paying career such as auto technicians, electricians, plumbers, carpenters and chefs - and not just a job.

We also know that high school is a time for exploring new ideas and activities. We have dozens of clubs, a wide range of athletic programs, music, dance and theatre performance groups, cultural organizations and career/professional organizations. We celebrate our diversity and welcome students to learn about the world.

At our high schools, our job is to prepare students for life. About 75% of our students will choose to continue their education after high school. Most will enroll at a 4-year college - including some of the most prestigious Ivy-league colleges and universities in America. Some will choose a local community college or technical school. About 12% of our students will choose to begin work after high school. Regardless of their direction and needs, we have the classes from basic to Advanced Placement to assure that all our students are ready to meet their life goals.
