ARTS and Other Electives

Our Art program starts with the foundation course in which basic elements, tools and media common to the process of creating works of art are employed.  The next step emphasizes a more in-depth and expanded approach to utilizing the media, techniques and expressive qualities unique in making a work of art. Students will examine works done by artists throughout history placing special emphasis on some of the reasons that led to these efforts.  They will become aware of the universal nature of art and how it influences their other disciplines and their lives outside of school.  Portfolio/Journal keeping will be a required part of the assessment process for these courses.
