by exposing, developing, and nurturing such qualities as patriotism,
loyalty, honor, self-discipline, self-reliance, leadership, and
management. In addition, the student will acquire a knowledge of civil,
industrial, and military aerospace.
Each student will be afforded the opportunity to participate in the
following activities:
- Flights in U.S. Air Force aircraft
- Military orientation (weekend encampments)
- Visits to Federal Aviation Facilities
- Visits to Aerospace related industries
- Social functions (dances, dining-in and banquet ceremonies)
- Drill competitions.
To be eligible for enrollment and continuance in the Aerospace Education
Program, each student must:
- Be enrolled in and attending a regular course of instruction at the
high school
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be at least fourteen (14) years of age
- Be of good moral character
- Be physically fit to participate in the AFJROTC training program
- Be selected by the Aerospace Education Instructor with approval
of the Principal
In addition, all cadets must maintain a passing academic average, must
sustain an acceptable personal appearance and must wear the uniform as
required (a minimum of once per week.) All uniforms are supplied by the
Air Force at no charge. The cadet is responsible for cleaning and
