bulletPresident’s Report
bulletScholastic Book Fair: We raised $3, 164.50. We get to spend $1, 429 on books that they provide or buy from the Scholastic Warehouse. We have already booked for next year. Check about collecting tax on books next year.
bulletApril Calendar was a success; we raised $370
bulletBulb Fundraiser is underway
bulletMagnets and T-shirt on sale, order form for items they would like to purchase
bulletPrincipal’s Report
bulletWe have finished Read Across America Month and the winners of the movie trip were Miss Kelly’s class.  All students will receive a certificate of participation.
bulletJune 16th and 17th will be early release days.  The last day of school is now June 17th.  Fifth grade graduation is Monday June 16th.
bulletWe will be putting together a list dates for upcoming events.  One event will be Parker Pride Day.  We will be asking for volunteers to sign up to help with these events.
bulletA reminder about safety in the schoolyard with the play equipment.  If there is no adult with the children they are asked not to play on the playground.
bulletTomorrow April 4, 2008 will be our last day of MCAS Testing.  We will resume testing in May.
bulletGrade 5 are participating in an Elementary Engineering Program.  
bulletAssistant Principal’s Report
bullet21st Century Program is still going very well.  Math Prep started in May. Save the date Mary 21st Parker Presents will be doing the play Peter Pan. Morning programs begin at 7:15 and include Math Masters, Paperback Penguins, Somebody Special, and Super Scientists.  All programs will end the last week of May.

bulletWe received a check from Hannaford Supermarket for $148 and a check from Target for $40.

bulletT-shirt order forms will be put in three languages.
bulletWe are also trying to get translators at PTO.
bulletCleaner Greener will be a Saturday in May.  We will clean up the front of the school.  The Highway and Parks Department will give us some supplies.
bulletSuggested fundraisers for next year- Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, Treats with Teachers, a Father Daughter Dance, a Mother Son Dance, a Movie Night

 

Next Meeting will be May 1st
