The Heritage Program at Quincy High
School is an alternative program for students in grades 9-12. Students
follow a regular school schedule and use the program's creativity to
enhance the course work. The program affords the students the
opportunity to develop skills in leadership and self-understanding
through two course offerings. The first is Student Leadership and the
second is Character Education. Students are admitted to the program
after having defined for the admissions team and themselves the reasons
for seeking admission. Some alternative opportunities which the program
affords are collegiate level course offerings at local college or
university settings, work-study placements in sites related to the
students educational goals and opportunities to develop further
leadership and self-awareness skills in state and regional training
programs.
