There is life (and work) after high school. Are you thinking about a employment right out of high school? Is a career that involves higher education in your future? We have many resources to help you make the transition.
Your first stop should be your school's guidance office and counselors. They can help you begin the process of evaluating your strengths and long-term goals. There are numerous career assessment guides, tests, books and web sites which can open your eyes to career opportunities. If you want to see what some careers are like by getting a first-hand look, we have many options for job-shadowing, internships and school-to-work. And your guidance counselors also play an important role in helping you select the right courses to get you where you want to go -whether it's college or employment.

There are also many online resources which can help you understand your options. You can Google careers and education and even specific job titles to find your own sites. Just be aware of sites that offer "free trials" or that have an agenda such as getting you to sign up for services which you may be able to get free through your guidance office (financial aid for college sites and test prep sites are particularly known for this). Use the free sources on the web and at your guidance office and save the fees to put toward achieving your goals!
