On Tuesday, December 10, K-2 child caregivers joined Bridget Vaughan, QPS Literacy Coordinator, and Victoria Mulkern from the National Council on Improving Literacy (NCIL) to explore ways to enhance their children's literacy development.
The session highlighted evidence-based practices for supporting literacy growth. Caregivers learned practical strategies, such as engaging in conversations, recognizing speech sounds, reading together, and improving comprehension and fluency skills.
