Two boxes overflowing with soccer balls, volleyballs, and kickballs await Point Webster students.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, GEICO and their local partner, Good Sports, Inc. donated over $20,000 worth of sports equipment to Point Webster Middle School in a presentation to staff and students in the Point Webster gym.

Kevin Mulvey, QPS Superintendent of Schools, and Christine Barrett, Point Webster Principal, accepted the donation from Samantha Freedman of GEICO through GEICO’s local partner, Good Sports, Inc. Eliza Halmo, Associate, Corporate Partnerships of Good Sports and Good Sports staff were on hand to assist in the presentation of the donation to students.

The day also included a special guest, former Point Webster student and teacher and current MA Speaker of the House, Rep. Ronald Mariano. House Speaker Mariano spoke to the students and reflected on his long-standing relationship with Point Webster.

The best part of the day? As soon as the presentation concluded, students were given free time to play with the newly donated equipment!
