U.S. Army Robotics Presentation at NQHS

On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the United States Army recruiting office presented the students of NQHS with the chance to work with a few of the robotic vehicles that are used in the performance of their jobs. The students were given the opportunity to use two different devices. One device was made to replicate the moving of a small football from the top of a parking cone and then return it. This activity replicated the moving of dangerous munition. The second device was a scaled-down model of a dual-track rover. The students were able to work on maneuvering around an obstacle course and compete with other students. The cost of these devices ranged from $60,000 dollars all the way to $1.2 million dollars. The students also had a chance to perform pull-ups and record their results.
