Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies
The Metal Fabrication and Joining Technologies program at Quincy High provides career preparation for students through hands-on training and state-of-the-art equipment. Students develop expertise in welding, blueprint reading, layout, fabrication of light and heavy gauge metals, CNC plasma arc technology, and more. The program, spanning three years, provides over 725 hours of shop and related training, ensuring students are well-prepared for the demands of the industry.

Welding in 2023 and the future is considered a high-demand occupation due to the aging workforce, industry growth, and lack of information and development. Industry growth opens new workplaces, but soon enough, we will have a large number of retiring welders.
