Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

Quincy Public Schools will be hosting an Elementary School Remote Summer Program for students
entering grades 3 through 5. The program is designed to boost academic learning and self-confidence
in the prerequisite standards, necessary for success in the next grade-level. Academic challenges and
creative outlets for students, will be integrated throughout the program. Our academic focus areas will
include a combination of skills, topics and activities that connect to essential learning in English
Language Arts, Science, and Mathematics. Our goal is to help your student reinforce and retain
essential knowledge and skills.

We understand that school closures have kept students from essential peer interactions and academic engagement. Therefore, we will provide opportunities for student support and social wellness each week, throughout the program.

Quincy Public School educators and support staff will provide the instruction and support for the
program remotely, through Summer Boost Google Classrooms. Teachers will provide LIVE interactive
learning experiences every day as well as guided instruction. There will be NO homework assigned.
The expectation is that students engage with their remote learning, Monday through Thursday from
9:00 AM – 11:30 AM and that students abide by the guidelines for online participation, provided by the Remote Summer Program Staff.
