Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

Quincy Public Schools will be hosting two Remote Advanced Summer Sessions for students entering grades 6, 7 and 8. The program is designed for students who participated in the Grade 5 Advanced Placement Program (APP), the Advanced Placement Center (APC) or advanced coursework at any of our middle schools. Students who are interested in cultivating their math thinking and science skills are encouraged to register. Our teachers will help students hone their critical thinking and problem solving skills and prepare them to soar into their next grade level. Prerequisite content standards, necessary for success in the next grade-level, as well as challenging course work will be integrated throughout the program.

We understand that school closures have complicated our students’ ability to maintain important peer relationships and academic engagement. Therefore, our instructors will provide opportunities for peer interaction and collaboration, through games, trivia, and moderated discussions throughout the program.

Quincy Public School’s staff will provide the instruction for the program remotely, through Summer Boost Google Classrooms. Teachers will provide LIVE interactive learning experiences every day. The expectation is that students engage with their remote learning, Monday through Thursday from 9:30 – 11:30 AM and that students abide by the guidelines for online participation, provided by the Remote Summer Program Staff.

When registering, students will select one academic area (Math or Science) per session. For more information please contact Madeline Roy at 617-984-8760 or [email protected]

  • Session I: June 29 - July 2 and July 6 - 9
