2022-23 QPS Administrative Reorganizaton

Dear Quincy Public Schools Staff, Students, and Families,

I am very pleased to announce the following Quincy Public Schools administrative re-organization for the 2022-2023 school year:

  • Kim Ngo Connolly, Director of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion  Ms. Connolly will be joining us from Boston Public Schools, where she was most recently the Director of Recruitment, Cultivation & Diversity Programs.  Ms. Connolly holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University and a Masters of Business Administration from Babson College.
  • Lawrence Taglieri, Director of Academic Programs  Mr. Taglieri will join the Curriculum Team at the Coddington Building to collaborate with Senior Curriculum Director Madeline Roy on the administration of the Art, Instrumental Music & Choral, Physical & Health Education, Technology Engineering, and Library/Media programs for Grades K through 12.  Mr. Taglieri has been the Principal of Quincy High School for nine years and was previously Principal at Broad Meadows Middle School for eight years. 
  •  Keith Ford, Principal of Quincy High School  Mr. Ford is completing his first year in Quincy Public Schools as Principal of North Quincy High School and was previously the Assistant Principal of Needham High School for five years.  
  • Daniel Gilbert, Principal of North Quincy High School  Mr. Gilbert has been the Principal of Broad Meadows Middle School for nine years and was previously Principal of Snug Harbor Community School for five years.  
  • Michael Marani, Principal of Broad Meadows Middle School  Mr. Marani has been the Principal of Snug Harbor Community School for five years and was previously Assistant Principal at Snug Harbor for four years.  
  • Courtney Mitchell, Principal of South~West Middle School  Ms. Mitchell has been the Principal of Merrymount Elementary School for two and a half years and was previously the Assistant Principal of Sterling Middle School for five and a half years.  
  • Marisa Forrester, Principal of Beechwood Knoll Elementary School  Prior to being named Acting Principal in February of this year, Ms. Forrester was previously the district’s Coordinator of Data and an elementary school teacher for eight years.  
  •  Janet Loftus, Principal of Lincoln Hancock Community School  Ms. Loftus returned to Lincoln Hancock in February 2022, after three years as Principal of the Beechwood Knoll Elementary School.  Ms. Loftus was previously the Assistant Principal at Lincoln Hancock for five years.
  • Susan Shea Connor, Acting Principal of Merrymount Elementary School   Ms. Shea Connor has been an elementary school teacher and administrator in Quincy Public Schools for eight years.
  • Scott Perfetuo, Acting Principal of Snug Harbor Community School Mr. Perfetuo has been Assistant Principal of the Parker Elementary School for ten years and a Quincy Public Schools teacher for over twenty years.

Please join me in congratulating these administrators on their new roles in Quincy Public Schools beginning July 1.  Each of the principals will have the opportunity to meet with the school staff before the end of the school year and will meet with their school communities prior to the opening of school.
