What is OpenSciEd? Exploring Your Child's Science Learning with Dr. Cara Pekarcik
Parents of students in grades 5–12:
Join us on Thursday, October 22, from 6:00–7:30 PM in the Central Middle School Media Center to learn about the OpenSciEd (OSE) curriculum used in all QPS middle schools.
Families will discover how OSE sparks curiosity, supports student sensemaking, and encourages students to think and act like scientists. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore examples of student work from previous years.
Please register for this Parent Academy by Friday, October 16, 2026, so we can plan accordingly.
If you have any questions, contact Cara Pekarcik at [email protected].
While the session will highlight units from grades 6–8, families of students of all ages are welcome.
