QPS is proud to offer a variety of district-wide music programs for the 2022-23 school year. Please explore some of our offerings below and register your student(s); staff contact information is included with each program if you have questions.
After-School Strings Program
Quincy Public Schools will once again offer string instrument lessons to students in grades 2-12 for both beginning and continuing students after school at Parker, North Quincy HS, Squantum, and Beechwood. These classes are 40-minute group lessons (4-8 students per group) on the violin, viola, and cello. All string lesson classes will begin the week of October 17th and end the first week of June. John Adams and Abigail Adams Orchestra Program
This program is available to string students with at least one year of playing experience who are currently enrolled in continuing lessons. Both orchestras will start rehearsals on Monday, October 17, 2022, in the Quincy High School Band Room. Learn more and register »
Beginner Band
This band program is offered to students in grades 4 and 5; classes meet weekly during the school day. Learn more and register »
QPS All-City Middle School Chorus
All QPS middle school students are welcome to join the All-City Middle School Chorus. Enjoy a fun and collaborative musical environment with friends from across the city. Learn more and register »
