QPS' New Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Mission and Vision Statement Now Available for Public Comment
The Quincy Public Schools is in the process of updating our Vision and Mission Statement for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging work in our schools and our district. Part of this process is to provide all stakeholders the opportunity to review and comment on the statements which will guide our work going forward.
At the end of the 2021 school year, administrators, staff, students and parents met to draft the following:
To create an equitable and inclusive environment for all members of the Quincy Public School’s diverse community through a commitment to mutual respect, inclusivity, and cultural awareness. We, as a district, join with students and families in affirming a safe, secure, and welcoming school climate that provides opportunities to thrive in academic, social, and civic endeavors. In doing this, we hope to produce informed community members who are empowered to engage meaningfully in society.
The Quincy Public Schools welcomes any feedback from any stakeholder to ensure that we have the best possible vision and mission to guide our work in providing a safe, equitable, and affirming school climate throughout the district.
