It was a big day for our CVTE students today! This morning, our Early Childcare students from NQHS and QHS visited Quincy College to celebrate the “Week of the Young Child” through presentations from our friends at Stop & Shop, who discussed nutrition for young children; Manet Health, who educated students on pediatrics and prenatal care; Bay State Community Services, who discussed behavioral health for children and families; and QCAP, who shared information about their Head Start program and teaching opportunities.

Separately, our Carpentry, Electrical, Metal Fab, Plumbing, and Automotive students all participated in QPS’ CVTE Trades and Union Collaborative 2023 at QHS today! We were fortunate to welcome a variety of employers and trade organizations, including:

Representatives from these organizations networked with students, discussed their fields, answered questions, and provided information on internship, job training, scholarship, and employment opportunities.

We thank all of our partners today for helping to expose our students to a variety of industries and opportunities so that they may make informed decisions about their career paths!
