Social Studies at North Quincy High School

The Social Studies curriculum at NQHS emphasizes the development of literacy, critical thinking, writing, and communication skills through a number of courses in history and the social sciences. Assignments require students to engage with primary and secondary sources and to conduct research. AP courses are available in United States History, European History, and Psychology.

Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society is the only national organization for high school juniors and seniors that recognizes excellence in the field of social studies. It provides students with national recognition and opportunities for exploration in the social studies.
