Quincy is fortunate to have many community organizations that provide programming for young people in the city. These organizations offer valuable opportunities for our students to engage in sports, arts, mentoring, and other activities outside of the classroom. We encourage QPS school families to explore these programs:

Quincy Recreation Department

The Quincy Recreation Department organizes a wide range of programs for Quincy residents of all ages. For school-age residents, Quincy “Rec” offers many popular programs, including after-school games and activities in the fall and winter, summer camps and drop-in programs at parks throughout the city, recreational swimming, and swimming lessons at the Lincoln Hancock pool, the Quincy Track program in spring/summer, and a winter basketball league.
