Thanks to our partner, Brewster Ambulance Service, approximately 685 QPS 8th graders attended in-school CPR training last week through the "A Matter of Heart" initiative. With certified instructors from Brewster, our students learned how to perform hands-only CPR, help when someone is choking, and to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The initiative culminated on Saturday, when 80+ students and their families achieved official CPR/AED certification through a dedicated class held at Central Middle School.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Brewster Ambulance Service and our own QPS Health Services team for their leadership in spearheading this initiative, equipping our students with critical skills! 🙌
